debating club TheDEBATlNG CLUB members are seen taking notes while Peggy Flowers procedes to uphold the affirmative side on the question concerning the National Debate Prosition which IS Resolved that the Federal Government should sustain the prices of maior agricul ture Products at not less than 903 of Parity. The DEBATE TEAM started the year's activities by attending a debate workshop held at Carson Newman in December. Their first tournament was also held at Carson Newman. lt was sponsored by the American Legion and concerned the adoption of the Bricker Ammendmentg it was held at U.T. the Central debaters have won this tournament of the past five years, and they were proud to come out on top again this year. For a week our debators attended the tournament which was held at the Univer- sity of Virginia where they debated with teams from all the South. The last tournament they participated in was the Tennessee lnterscholastic Literary League held at the University of Tennessee. IIS
