There was never a dull moment for the band during the year T956- I 5 l957. They played at all the home , fi: games, and made shor. trips to as if' Cleveland and Erwin to play for games away from home. They held a concert January 3'l at Central. On February 1-3 ten students went to the East Tenn- essee Band Clinic in Maryville. They climaxed their busy year with a May concert. The two pro- jects for this year were the purchase of acontrabass clarinet and aiding the Giorus members in the cost of their new high-fidelity system. Mr. O'Dell Willis is director. Below the band is seen performing some difficult maneuvers in precission marching at one of the night football games.
