Central-0 - Young-0: The Bobcats battled valiantly to hold the Yellowjackets to a scoreless tie. Young reached the 'Cats eight yard line at one time but the Central defense, led by lay Ienkins, Bill Bamsey, Curtis Patty, and lack Roberts, held. The game proved to be the most evenly matched of the Knox Prep League season. Central-7 - Fulton-13: Ploying against the Fulton Falcons the Bobcats suffered their second loss by one touchdown. During the opening minutes cf the game, Ken Colauitt teaniea with Barney Gzddens to pave the for Centrale lone score. The Bobcats secured thirteen first downs to Bule's four. That unlucky thir- teen proved itself as such to the Golden Bears as lack Roberts, scored on a second quarter run, and Don McNeil added two more touchdowns in the last quarter. All three conversion attempts were unsuccessful, but they were not needed as Bule was unable to move the ball close to the C.H.S. goal.

Playing at tailback, sophomore Earl Crosland ran 45 yards in the first quarter to set the scene for the first Cat touchdown. Central led until a Morristown back opened the third quarter with a 75-yard iaunt for six points. The conversion was good and Morris- town maintained this 7-6 advantage until the combined backfield efforts of Crosland and Don McNeil accounted for Central's winning touchdown in the last quarter. Central-27 -- Ieiierson City-0: The Bobcat footballers gained their fourth win of the season against the Iefferson City High eleven. With lack Roberts at fullback, the Bobcats scored once in the first half and three times late in the game. Roberts, Bob Hutsell, Ken Colquitt, and Earl Crosland were responsible for the four scores. Bill Ramsey, Bud Dyer, Curtis Patty, lay lenkins, lerry Wells, lim Darling, Bob Smith, and Dan Luethke were outstanding in the line for Central. l14 ,I 419' I .. -7.
