They kept complete statistics on the varsity football team, printed the first complete history of Central High School and published a six page paper in April. The November, Decern- ber, and lanuary issues cf the paper were entered for iyidnging during the Tennessee High School Press Association conference and fourteen nternbers cf the staff attended the East Scnccl Press Asso- ciaiifn Conference in lencir City on Friday Aprif I. T. plays at the Bijou Theater. The major dramatic production of the year was BELLES ON THEIR TOES, a three act comedy. Selected scenes of the play were aiven in Columbia, Tennessee, at the State Thespian Convention. A formal banquet was held in May to elect officers. Mr. Cate The Annual Centralite has striven to capture within the covers of this book the story of Central High School during the 1954- l955 school year. For the annual staff, the year began with the selling of advertise- ments and the planning of the general lay- out and theme. Throughout the year staff members worked during school and outside of school taking pictures, writing copy, and performing all the other jobs necessary for the finished product. The basic aim of the annual staff has been to present a complete record of all phases of school life.
