Here are pictured the three Y-Teen presidents as they gathered for an informal discussion of the merits of their respective clubs. NPN t ' 1 y-teens lunior President Marian McCampbell Sophomore President Martha Messman Freshman President . Margie Norris The Y-Teen organization at Central High School is composed of three chap- tersfffreshman, sophomore, and junior. Marian McCampbell was Chosen as the Outstanding Y-Teen of the Year in the entire city. The Annual Crippled Chil- dren's Benefit Dance was the highlight of the year. Projects such as making favors for trays at Beverly Hills, filling baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and collecting money for the Polio Drive were sponsored by the different chapters. h I I - y President Bill Hodge Vice President Heymccre Schettler SGCYSYGFY Kenneth Burton Treasurer Ichnny Statum The Central Hi-Y is a subordinate unit of the Knoxville YMCA. The members of the club during the year have participated in various activities which included the preparation of a Christmas basket for a needy family, painting and repairing the Hi-Y room in the YMCA building, and a pastry sale to raise money. The only service club at Central which elects a sweetheart, the club selected Sandra Rose for that honor. The year was brought to a close with a hayride in April. Shown at the left are members painting their activity room and selling pastries in Fountain City. 66
