DISTRIBUTIVE EDUCATION The D. E. Club elected these people for officers for the year of T953-19541 Marlene Redding, president, Fred Dodson, vice-presi- dent, Mary Ann Thornburg, secretary, and Bonnie Jo Hall, treasurer. This club has been active in all organized activities this year. Delegates were sent to the State Convention in Nashville where Marlene Redding was elected vice-president of the East Tennessee District. All the members attended the Regional Con- vention held at the University of Tennessee, at which they received the trophy for the best D. E. club by placing in every contest and Marlene Redding attended the National Con- vention in San Antonio, Texas. xfv

GYM ASSISTANTS The boys' gym assistants help the students on funda- mentals of gymnastics in basketball, volleyball, tumbling, baseball, softball, and football. They give exercises, call the roll in class, and till the coke machine. The girls' gym assistants conduct the gym classes' when Miss Miller is not present to do it, They referee basketball, volleyball, and kickball games so there will be fair play in the classes. Row!
