l Y-TEENS The Y-Teens are junior members of the Y. W. C. A. This year for the first time there are two clubs. The freshman club worked on the polio drive this year for their proiect. The sophomores gave a benefit dance for the Crippled Children's Home on March 12. SCIENCE CLUB In the fall of T953 the Science Club elected Jennifer Tipton as president, Gene Gilley as vice- president, Bill Gieseke as secretary, and John .lellicorse as treasurer. One of its members, Mickey Mc- Cord, went to the Tennessee Junior Academy of Science with a proiect. The club also sponsored a science fair and entries into the Appa- lachian Science Fair, They spon- sored two entries in the Westing- house Science Talent Search. These two entries, Mickey McCord and Jennifer Tipton, placed in the state contest.
