I ig me ' sffgig-U LIBRARY The most striking of the building's attractive points is the exterior, even in its present incompleted state. Unusual features of landscaping for school grounds include the sunken gardens on either side of the main entrance, the sweeping boulevard, Scioto Drive, at the front and the grounds at the back of the building, which include about half of the seven- teen acres surrounding the school and are to be used for athledc nelds. Upon entering the building through its elaborate front entrance, the eye is attracted to one of the rnost striking features,the spacious audi- torium with a seating capacity of 1500 and a stage 75 feet wide. Back of the stage are the two gymnasiums, separated by a removable partition and equipped with the most modern athletic devices. The boys' shower room is to the north and the girls' to the south of the gyms. To the right of the main entrance is the executive department, includ- ing the private offices of the principal and vice-principal and the large main office, all equipped in the most up-to-date style. Administration is made more efiicient by a telephone switchboard which affords communi- cation between the main office and the various departments of the school. On the second floor the chief center of interest, besides the usual class rooms, is the library with its 30,000 books exclusive of reference books and periodicals.
