SAM HOUSTON DEBATE SOCIETY 1936 marks the sixth year of the Sam Houston High Debate Society- In those six years this club has set an enviable record of which we may well be proud. This year has been a big year for the debaters. Four out of five tournaments attended were won by Sam Houston’s teams, and in the Interscholastic meet the boys’ team, composed of Edd Miller and Lewis Crosson, won first place in city; the girls’ team, composed of Helen Pasternak and Joyce Duke, won second place in city competition.
