SEMPER IDEM SOCIETY Tbe Semper Idem Society was organized in tbe fall of 1933 to promote interest in rules of etiquette for senior girls, to aid in developing good scholastic standings for members, and to promote good fellowship and friendship among members of the club as well as tbe entire school. Miss Ruth Daugherty was selected to head the organization in 1933, which was composed of ten members including Elizabeth Phifer, Lida Coffman, Laura Jarrard, Elaine Stolz, Hazel Hockmuth, Alice Kelly, Jessie Roberts, Jeanette McClanahan, Carolyn Lockett, and Claribell Lutman. Eight members were added to the list in 1934, and each year this number of pledges will be admitted into the society. The business meetings of the club are held semi-monthly. Membership of the Semper Idem is open to girls only, and therefore subjects interesting to girls are discussed.

THALIA DRAMATICS CLUB The Thalia Dramatics Club, under the direction of Mrs. Verna S. Hogan, is an active organization that presents several plays every year, one of wdiich is entered in the interscholastic meet, and one of which is given Senior Morning. The club has placed first or second each year that it has competed in the inter¬ scholastic tournament. The play presented this year was ' ' The Imposter” with the following cast: Vivian Ruffner, Billy Baldwin, Vivian Kissen, Buford Bramlett, and Bleatha Fedric. The play placed second. Since the contest, the play has been given for the City Recreational Department and for the ' ' Twenty-six Literary Society.” Every member of the club participates at some time during the year in a one-act play. The first part of this course consists of numerous lectures, which prepare the pupils for acting. The officers of the club are as follows: Billy Baldwin. Preston Grant Jerry Lathy... . President ....
