Baughman Van Tuyl Hyman Coach Van Tuyl succeeded in arousing the spirits of Sam Houston’s track ability this year, and as a result he has given Sam Houston a representative track team. He has developed some of the inexperienced boys into track stars. Van Tuyl intends to enter his team in seven track meets. Max Hyman has entered six meets this year and has won first place in every one of them. At the City Meet Hyman shattered the old record of 205.8 for the 880 yard dash and established a new mark of 202.4. ’’Maxie” is an all-around athlete, standing out in basketball as well as track. Billy Baughman, although not winning every race, has placed in every meet and has qualified for the State Meet. Billy’s specialty is the 100 yard dash, where com¬ petition is very great. Baughman and Hyman were the only two men to qualify for a letter before the Cosmos went to press. We regret that the complete data of letter- men and meets cannot be published.
