XFX? QA L,,. :Sl X '-'ff-.-. ' S. LK-iv---ri ' 1 Congratulations andzbestiwishes to the members of the outstanding 1952 graduating class. Let Me Be Challenged, should be the slogan oi: each member. Yes, let us be challenged by the heights to which men and women like ourselves can rise. Let us be proud of the fact that we contain within ourselves resources of strength and power great enough to enable us to climb far and high. I know that there is much disillusionment, much discouragement, much temptation to do the expedient rather than the right. But you are men and women-and because you are men and women you can rise above the dull level of yielding. It is not what destiny does with you, but what you do with destiny that determines what you shall become. When a human being is determined, what can stop him? Cripple him and you have a Sir Walter Scotty bury Him in the snows of Valley Forge and you have a George Washingtong have him born in abject poverty and you have a Lincolng load him with bitter racial prejudice and you have a Disraelig afflict him with asthma and you have a Theodore Roosevelt. Where you are five or ten years from now depends upon how many times you have been challenged and how many times you have met the challenge with positive action. I Can because I Will will win. Bon Voyage with Destiny, B. L. WERTZ, Principal
