'DecUcatCott Dear Students, Here, at long last, is your 1953 Chief, the first Central Yearbook that com pletely covers your life and times from registration in September to May gradua- tion. Yes, it’s new, it’s here, and above all, it’s yours! Traditionally, every yearbook is dedicated to someone or something. This year there was never a doubt in our minds as to who would be so honored. The 1954 Chief is dedicated to you. A high school is no greater than its students. And, thanks to your spirit, determination, and patience, Central High is about to enter the realm of great- ness. As a theme for your ’54 book we chose TIME. Not time into infinity, but that portion of the best years of our lives through which we have just passed, 1953-54. The various activities of our school were likened unto the parts of a clock. From this, our division pages were created. “ ou were there” was the motto of the staff. We have attempted to realistical- ly slant the pictures, the copy, and the layout so that you could remember this year in your life as it actually happened, as you actually lived it during ’53 and ’54 in Central High. Yes, it’s your Chief. We hope you like it! Sincerely THE STAFF I. . ......................... iiiiiiiiii
