claim Hmm The value one receives from football is some- thing one seldom receives from other experi- ences. Football leaves its mark physically, as well as morally. The difference between the good and the great is the voluntary willingness to make the extra effort that is not demanded by the coach or society-that little extra which comes from within oneself which is instilled on the football field. It is a classroom without walls and the players are tested each Friday night. Each player has the benefits of rigorous exercise and physical discipline. He learns the importance of winning, the importance of giv- ing a hundred and twenty percent and the value of striving for excellence. He receives the cour- age to face 1ife's problems and to weather the storms. These to every individual are important ingredients along with a deep faith in God. It is hoped that each athlete at Central High School will be able to capture these values. Bob Newell
