panish Club The Spanish Club, as the name sug- gests, is a language club made up of those students taking Spanish, or hav- ing a knowledge of the Spanish lan- guage. This year Mr. John Oldham re- turned to Central, and he assumed the responsibility as sponsor of the Spanish Club. The main project of the Spanish Club during the school year is caroling in Spanish at Christmas. The Archery Club is composed of students who have an interest in archery and are affiliates with the National Arch- ery Association. The club has several qualified bowmen and provides good practice for the beginner. Deca Club The officers are: President-Tony McLeroy Vice-President-Terry Young Secretary-Diane Stanley Treasurer-Joh Hindman Reporterklim Payne Sponsor-Mr. Gary Sadlack The Deca Club is for students enrolled in Distributive Education. The students are in- terested in marketing, merchandising, and management. The purpose of vocational edu- cation is to prepare the students for gainful employment in their chosen career. In our chapter, we are engaged in several activities. We enter a Regional Leadership Con- test at Jackson, Tennessee annually. Every year two are selected to go to Nashville for the State Leadership Conference. We enjoy an Employer-Employee Banquet each year. Our club has a variety of ways of earning money. We operate a record shop and sell records and albums throughout the school year. We have sold a variety of other items throughout the year. If you have a career interest in marketing, consider Distributive Education.
