Being one of the largest organizations at Central, the F T A acquaints students with the basic requirements of education and character needed to pursue a career in teach- ing. Even if one does not plan to teach, he can still join the club. Through this club students receive help in college choices. Open House for American Education Week, teacher ap- preciation, a Christmas party, and Senior appreciation tea are a few ofthe many projects which the F T A undertakes each year. The officers are as follows: President Opha Farris, Vice- President Roger Ervin, Secretary Beth Eastham, Treasurer Janet Stallings, Reporter Joe Wheeler, and the sponsor is Mrs. Dixon.
