Library Club lt is considered a privilege to work in the Library Club fit gets you out of study hallj. The girls take care ofthe books, collect fine money, and work on bulletin boards to make the library more attractive. Each year at Christmas, the Library Club has a party for the library aids' mothers and the faculty. In May, the club has a party at Mrs. Durrett's home for the graduating members of the club. The officers for this year are President Mary'Lane Weems, Vice-President Debbie Carver, Secretary Debbie Hammons, Reporter Barbara Desbien, and Program Chair- man Alice Holt. Efs ,., 11 s K vm? cience Club The Science Club is composed of those students taking Biology, Chemistry, or Physics as a free elective. ln order to retain membership a student must maintain at least a b average in all science courses. The objectives of this club are: to provoke thought, to train in inductive and deductive methods of reasoning, to view vocational opportunities, to develop powers of observation to stimulate research and experimentation, to supplement factual information of the classroom, to develop a love of nature, to appreciate and be able to adjust to any natural surroundings, and to formulate a personal philosophy of life.
