For where there's a will There must be a Quill. Q Somew here'?J This is a typical example of the literature produced by members of the Quill and Scroll. Every year the club edits a school anthology consisting of outstanding poems written by students of Central. The Quill and Scroll is an honorary society for pro- motion of journalistic achievement. Students eligible are those in the upper one -third of the junior or senior classes who have served in some field of journalism for two years.

If you can manage to make an A or B on subjects such as Algebra, Chemistry, or even Physics, you deserve something. 'I'his is why there's a Beta Club. It tries to promote honesty, service, and leadership in students. There is also a chance of ob- taining a scholarship through the Beta Club. Some of its activities throughout the year are the publication of a school directory, the decoration of a Christmas tree, and attendance at the state convention in Nashville.
