Homecoming 'he cheerleaders and the Homecoming Royalty shared the same feelings on Homecoming night. Tigers Victorious in Homecoming The Green Wave ran their record to 2-3 as they whipped Selmer 45-12. This was the Tigers' second Volunteer Conference victory. Fullback Ricky Wilhite, halfback Charles Simmons, and quarterback Blake White each scored twice for the Tigers. The final TD came on a short run by reserve fullback Tommy McAnna1y. End Mike Henry kicked three extra points. This past year radio station WBOL again broadcast both Cen tral High football and basketball games. Each morning after a game, the fans listen to the tran- scribed replay of the game played the night before. Tigers Roll Over South Side 53-13 Hess and Moore move in for a tackle. The Tigers made it three victories in a row as they downed South Side 53-13. Halfback Charles Simmons paced the Green Wave with four touchdowns. Two of these were on 52 and 20 yard runs respectively. Fullback Ricky W ilhite scored twice for the Tigers, while quarterback Blake White and linebacker David Black each ac- counted for one touchdown. End Mike Henry kicked 5 extra points.
