ration Graduates of 1954: There are some events during each school year that enable us to remember a particular year for a long time. I suspect that you seniors will remember this school year as the one when the new concrete stands for 5000 persons and the dressing rooms were built at Brady Street Field, when Davenport High School was selected by Life magazine as an outstanding example of a good comprehensive public high school, and the year when the big “bulge” started in senior high school enrollment. In addition, I trust that you will remember with real pleasure and satisfaction many of the social events and the stimulating academic ex- periences in which you participated during 1953 - 1954. I trust that this has been a splendid year for each of you and you feel that Davenport High School has served you well. Congratulations and best wishes, Rogor Borry, Principal The Board of Education shown seated around the conference table are Mrs. Rhea Cornelius, Mr. Wal- ter Vieth, Mr. Les Jones, Superintendent Harold J. Williams, President Rich- ard LeBuhn, Mr. John G. Baumgartner, Mr. John Burrows, Mr. Albert Block and Mr. W. W. Brubaker.
