It is a representative group of hand- craft and machine experiences tending to develop a general industrial knowledge. Its membership spans a wide range within which is to be found many nationalities, races, creeds, and characteristics. The ances- tors of this personnel may be English, Euro- pean, Slavic, Negro, Indian, and Asiatic. The differences within the student body are marked. Thus, important moral values that have to do with habits, attitudes and ideals may be developed. Opportunity is present also forthe promotion of social co- operation and generosity in contributing to the common good. Without a doubt, the courses in Industrial Arts do much to help our young people adjust themselves intelli- gently to our complex industrial civilization.
