MR. HOFFMAN The Editorial Staff of the Black and Gold of 1955 wishes to speak for the student body in expressing our sincere appreciation for Mr. HotIman's continuous help in publishing our yearbook. For the last two years, Mr. Hohfman has done a remarkable job directing the students who had charge of this publication. His advice and guidance have made our book an annual, which will long be remembered. We thank you, Mr. Hoffman, for your patience and cooperation. MR, ALLEN MR. GRISLEY To the graduates honored in this 1955 Black and Gold- We hope we have contributed in some small way toward the successes that you have made in Central High School and the successes that are yours to win in the coming years. It has been our increasing pleasure to help you set your goal and to help you work toward its achievement. Accept our best wishes for a happy and profitable future. MR. ALLEN - MR. GRISLEY MISS TOURTELLOT Our former counselor, Miss Celia Tourtellot, who retired at the end of our 12B term, will never be forgotten by her classes. Her understanding and cooperation in all our undertakings and her interest in her students are the fine traits that made her dear A0 to us. Our only regret is that Miss Tourtellot will not be present at the climax of our high school career, our graduation. As spokesman for all her classes, the graduating class of january 1955 would like to express our sincere thanks, gratitude, and appreciation for all of her untiring efforts.
