Some will go to our front lines-the fighting front. Dthers will so Q stay behind to supplement the achievements of the fighting men. These graduates leave us, armed with a vital weapon --an education. Through education they are prepared to carry on the war to final victory. Through education, they are prepared to bring about a righteous and lasting peace. They are the youth upon whose success the future depends, fi ln them we place our trust, our faith, and our hopes. It is so difficult to speak simply about great things. Words are inadequate to express our deep appreciation of the deeds of courage and sacrifice which the sons and daughters of Central are performing in our fight for Freedom. We can but look hopefully on as their numbers swell with each passing month and each graduation, wishing them Godspeed and a safe return when Peace shall again smile upon the world. From them we can take a renewed confidence in the kind of future we have learned to cherish and to hold indispensible to the happiness of mankind, The boys and girls of today are showing them- selves worthy of the men and women we expect them to be tomorrow. This thought provides a silver lining for a very dark cloud-a cloud which we earnestly hope is now its darkest before the long-awaited dawn l-IORACE l-l. l-IENDRICK Vfce-Principal
