Fairy tales come to life It was the best field trip since sec- ond grade. I like your students, they didn't screw up once! These were just a few of the com- ments made by the third and fourth graders after seeing the perfor- mance of the fall play. Story The- atre. The play consisted of 10 individual stories taken from Aesop's Fables and Grimm's Fairytales. It was a new experience for all because there was very little background set and no props. The cast told their stories through their lines and body move- ment or pantomime. Members of the cast were Beth Bauer. Brooks Briscoe. Paula Hilde- brandt. Sue Hoffman, Laurie Holm- quist. Betsy Kruse. Karen Lehr, Renee Murray. Robb Nelson, Julie Nevill, Patti Rickel, Teresa Sebert. and Joe West. Girls drag guys to dance The Sadie Hawkins dance is a tradi- tional dance held at CHS once a year. It is a country-western-style dance; moreover, the girls ask the guys out to this dance. The dance was held October 27 at the Monroe gym. from 9 p.m. to 12 a m. KKAA provided the musical in- tertainment for the night Jack Seaman was the Mystery Sher- iff and Vonda Kusler was Calamity Jane. There was a marriage booth (1) She»y Knot does her share of the decora- tion work by arranging tables and chairs (2) Kim Fordham.
