P- l 6 M Pt T. fi fl cl l ill! Central offers many opportunities to increase one's knowledge, but one of the best opportunities is located within the book covered walls of our library. Miss Lewis, the librarian, chooses her staff from those who like to work with books, whose grades are above average, and who has a study hall daily. New officers are elected by the staff each semester. The duties of the student librarians are to check books, receive fines, keep the library quiet and undisturbed. The library is another service organization of Central. Library Staff FIRST ROW, left to right: P. Blake, sec. treas.: T. Culber- son, pres.: C. Fannin, v. pres.: Miss Lewis, librarian. Decide what is news, assign reporters to bring in the news, make page plans, paste up galleys, proof read and distribute the finished paper are a few of the things that keep a newspaper office hopping with action. The name of Central's newspaper is the Outlook and students have been reading the pirate paper ever since Central began. The Doubloon is in its third year although there was a yearbook called Cokato years ago. The future world of the pen and ink may receive writers who have first experi- enced literary life here at Central. Miss Paul is faculty advisor for both DOUBLOON and OUTLOOK. The Ad Staff is responsible for thbadvertisements in the OUTLOOK and DOUBLOON. Selling ads and keeping the records straight are a very important part of the ink and press world. Mr. Read is faculty advisor for the Ad Staff. 41
