REV. ROBERT C. FANNON Administrator SISTER MARY OF THE ANGELS, H.H.M. Girls' Principal BROTHER FRANCIS BENILDE, F.S.C Boys' Principal Dear Seniors: It seems hut yesterday that we hid you hello; it seems impossible that the tomorrow has arrived when we must hid you farewell. We have enjoyed our day with you. We are delighted to have shared with your parents the privilege of educating you, or leading you forth to the day when you must try your hand at your vocation in life. What we have attempted to do is best described by Father Michael Larkin in his work “Do We Need Religious Education?” when he says, “To he complete, education must aim at the harmonious development of the whole man and all his faculties, and train him to use these noble endowments for the highest purpose of life. To cultivate and strengthen man, body and soul, mind and heart and conscience—this is the business of true education.” Our prayer is that we have helped form that Christian character that will serve you even if misfortune should sweep away your every gain, or calamity leave you friendless; that Christian character that will leave your ear attuned always to your eternal calling, your vocation of eternal happiness. We hid you a confessor’s farewell—“Go in Peace and God bless you!” Yours always in Christ, Father Fannon

JOHN RUSSO 1941 • 1959 Our senior year was saddened by the death of classmate John Russo. In our sorrow, we were uplifted by a sense of pride in praying for Johnny’s eternal salvation. For he was a true representative of Central Catholic— a boy who took his Faith as an integral part of his life, and always strove to maintain this ideal. Imitating his charity, we humbly pray, Requiescal in pace.
