7 tcit e Mitcc The mathematics deportment serves a twofold purpose at C.C. For some students, the math classes are the preparation for everyday needs or for a career in commerce. For others, these classes are only the start of a brilliant career as a mathematician. Which- ever the purpose, mathematics develops our facilities for reasoning and thinking for our- selves and therefore is a vital part of our curriculum.
