For four years they have set the pace for their classmates, emerging with a record of :accomplishment that shall forever serve as a model for succeeding senior classes. .spafufaforian 2691 14 jAe eniorfi When a member of the senior class of 1943 finds time to reminisce over the four years he spent at Central Catholic High School, he will discover that his life has really been a full one. High school at last .... that utterly bewildered and lost feeling of the first week . . . g the intricacies of algebra and the declensions of the Latin noun .... vacation. Sophomore year .... that grown-up feeling of superiority .... never-to-be-forgotten experiments in the biology laboratory .... nine fleeting months of study. September .... realization that at last the upper- classman stage had come .... a few months of study, then .... WAR .... recuperation from the first shock .... the arrival of class rings .... the senior tea dance ,.,. the first bit of newspaper experience in preparing the April all-junior issue of the Sham- rock .... the thrill of the prom .... graduation of the senior class. 4 Supreme senior year .... endeavors to become a model for underclassmen .... specialized studies for war-time occupations .... second war-time Christ- mas .... the last high school retreat .... the junior dance ..,. the issue of the Shamrock .... realization that graduation is impending .... departure of many senior boys for college and the armed forces .... intensified work on the Echo ..,. the prom . . and then .... graduation. These four years have provided the senior of 1943 with many memories which he will retain throughout his entire life, but in these days of turmoil and of indecision, the senior who leaves through these portals into a war-ravaged and chaotic world will appreciate most of all the guidance received on preparing himself for a wholesome Catholic life.
