The Girls he hard work and determination ...- of the Varsity Volleyball team paid off when they defeated Cardinal Stritch for the city title. Surprised . just before game time with a new set of gaudy, red Hawaiian-style game shorts, Central Catholic's girls g, tumed the City League Volleyball Championship into its own private beach party, tuming back Cardinal Stritch, 15-8, 15-10 at Waite last night. IBLADE, October 11, . 1985l Extremely proud of her team, first 5 year Head Coach Jan Lagger felt the tuming point of the season was beating DeVilbiss. They were our 2 toughest opponents this year because they had alot of height. Beating them showed the kids they E could beat anyone. Lagger also feels next year's team will be just as Q aggressive with the added depth and experience of the retuming l line-up with the exception of Senior r 3 i Kris Wysocki. - Above: GOOD SHOT.
