H omecomin A traditional Irish homecoming was welcomed by a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Start. Coming off an ultra-strong defensive performance in the first half, the Irish fell short of an upset of Macomber, 10-7. The MacMen's field goal was the lone score for the visitors and was immediately offset by Tom Shanahan's score before halftime. Macomber secured the game late in the fourth quarter after several strong Irish defensive stands. Highlighting the events was the crowning of Judy Kubacki as the 1980 Homecoming queen, Junior Randy Ziemkiewicz, upper left, pursues MacMen QB. Junior Cedric Gates, upper middle, lowers the boom. Brad Delp, below left, dives over' the top of the MacMen for, a first down.
