Courses in ancient, medieval, modern, and American history present the study of past human great¬ ness and man’s service to God and to his fellow men. They enable us to acquire, as ' ell as to vindicate, the part Divine Providence plays in the agency of secondary and spiritual causes. This study of human culture presents the origin of many im¬ portant elements of present-day civilization inherited from past-ages and emphasizes the contributions the Church made to it. It also aims to produce students worthy of the “City of God’’ and qualified to be citizens of the United States. Sister M. Mark R.S.M. (M.S.E.) History Sister M. Neri R.S.M.
