The Centerville Chapter of the Future Farmers of America is an organization for boys who are taking vocational agriculture in high school. It is made up of boys from grades 9-12. The boys participate in several types of county judging contests. The sponsor is Mr. Overturf. ft044 €n (4cce The Centerville Jr. Red Cross is made up of students from grades 9-12. Being a member of the organization is on a voluntary basis. Some of the activities are filling a gift chest to send to disaster areas in the world and sponsoring a membership drive in the school. Varsity " C " Club is composed of boys who have received 6-inch letters in one of the fol- lowing sports: varsity basketball, baseball, football, tennis, golf, track, or cross country. The purpose of this club is to develop cooperation among athletes and to discuss the ways which athletes should act. The Varsity " C " Club sponsored the concession stand at the football games. One of our growing school organiza- tions, the Art Club, has a future which seems very promising. The most exciting part of the year for all the members comes in October when the " Haunted Hop " is held. There is the annual trip made to the L.S. Ayres Art Contest in Indianapolis.

The Industrial Arts Club is another newly-formed club this year. The purpose of this club is to experiment with different materials to learn of their value and usage. The Science Club is a newly organized club this year. Stu- dents of the different science classes were eligible to be a member. At each meeting, a chosen member does an experi- ment on a scientific subject he takes or is interested in. The club took several trips this year including a trip to the Sleeve- casting Plant in Indianapolis. Mr. Weber is the sponsor.
