3111 flllrmnriam Death ended the studies of Jan Rogers on the afternoon of june 13, 1955. He was a victim of the modern plague, a traffic fatality. Though many will say he was taken from us young, before he had an opportunity for accomp- lishment, this is not entirely true. jan had accomplished many things. One, above all others, stands Out. He had gained the honor, the respect, the love- of those with whom he had contact. In Ian, these things fused, making him that unusual person--a man apart. It was not just that the members of his sophomore class loved him, members of the other classes, his teachers, those about him in Hi-Y, those with whom he had business dealings also felt the same. His was a short life, lived with the warmth and direction that escape many of us in a long life- time. 26
