Cross Country team was very successful and ended the season with an impressive 10-3 Win-loss record. Although the team was constantly being restaffed, they rarely lost. Complimenting their talent is a 2nd place ribbon for the prestigious Centennial Invitational. Paul Hagstrom and Tim Popiel led the J. V. 's and also lettered on Varsity as did Roger Poore, a runner on the Frosh team. Although the turn out for the Frosh team was the smallest in four years the team had a very big year In the team's 12 win- l loss season a very tough Lakeridge team provided the only defeat The Frosh took 2nd in the Centennial and Grant ln- vitationals but ended up with a disappoint- ing 4th at District Rodger Poore was the unchallenged leader but in his absence to the Varsity Scott Benzinger, Craig Brandt, and Ron Trevarthen led the Freshmen The Will and desire instilled in the J V and Frosh runners by Coach Crane has enabled them to produce another Win- ning season in Centennial history 1.
