BIKE CLUB: gfllff fake ,4 flmcfs Cyclists Loaning other clubs money is what Bike Club members Mike Morris, Megan Still, Tami Hemry, Dan Leubner and Ky Gilmore do. The profitable club is headed by Ky Gilmore Who managed to accumulate a treasury of 3197. 15. Among the club's projects were the Homecoming Dance, and the Christmas formal, Powder Puff football. Bike Club has enjoyed themselves throughout the year by planning trips with the Country Club, going to Washington Park and, despite the bad Weather and loss of a few members going to Blue Lake. HI-C,S: High Step Uv l6'cfisc' The Hi C's performance resulted in an almost flawless year Starting out the year they danced to the music of the CHS band Both the band and the girls enjoyed working together and together, they presented entertaining halftimes for the football games They also traveled with the band to different competitions and took a first in the Milwaukie Sight and Sound Competi- tion and in the Veteran s Day Parade A the season progressed, the girls Cand their momsy worked together on new costumes for winter competitions Breaking tradition the Hi C s went all out with black knit jumpsuits, hot pink satin blouses with black bow ties, and top hats with sequins trim- ming everything Also new for the team were their props -black stools and tam- bourines which, when they first started with them were quite a comedy but, really added a lot to the dance after the girls got them under control The HiC s participated in several com- petitions including the Rex Putnam Fall Halftime Competition, and the Metropolitan Dance Competition, taking a first place at each one Another first , and a highlight of the season was a trip to Boise, Idaho t participate in the Pacific North west Drill Competition Centennial and David Douglas were the only two competing teams rep- resenting Oregon among the 24 teams from five other states The girls returned triumphant with a first in Show and a third in Over-all And now for the Grand Finale! --A a perfect ending for the year, the HiC s finished in style by taking First Place ' State Competition and receiving the Best Costume award ' U ' . s ' 1 I Y . ,Ami 'M' 1 ,AW dat -.. . ,Q Q vnu time ,Iv-ix, W ' fi, WRESTLING RALLY Kally Boosts Grupplcrs A new total of ten members provided a larger rally to boost the Wrestlers spirits this year. Wrestling rally had many new activities that kept them busy all year long The most outstanding of these was an as sembly that, for the first time, was com pletely organized and put on by the wres tling rally The guys were remembered throughout the year with gifts before meets and on holidays Other activities included slumber, skating, and pizza parties 1. Patty Burgess and Synthea Fix listen in as mascot Gay Nemes puts an arm around Pam Geise to give her a little worldly advice. 2. A tense moment creates many emotions from members of the rally. 3. The rustling of porn-poms and the roar of the rally revive the weary wrestlers. 4.
