The Syzllmen Way back in the days when the wild and Wooly west was being settled and eovered vsagons and Indians and pioneers covered Pueblo s territory 1 little dobe school house stood where Centennial now stands and here a wee little bullpup took his slate and chalk and starred to w ork out his own journalistic solution Today we still have him with us but now he s a full fledged dignified old newspaper veteran His office is room 19 in old Centennial and every day his Staff of xx orkers are busy carrying out his commands His editor in chief IS Hank Milne and his business manager Joe Peterson Miss Burton and Mr Sloan are his capable overseers During the past year the old Bulldog has supervised the editing of the items to the daily paper each Sunday and last but not least put out the 1927 Annual The old Bulldog knows his Staff by heart and he loves to run into Staff Offiee and lean over Lils Lews Leonas and Betties shoulders and le barks with joy at the pictures they draw for him He wags his tail with delight when Dizzie Liuie Risley and Aunt Polly Gahagan and June Day Wlarsh hand in feature stories for him and he loses to watch Bill Wliite Una Pusher Louise Laws Lucille Curtis Vera Dammann Rollin Poe Ruth Mae donald Orville Suhre and Carmen Fox reel off news stories Charlie Ribar Jack Rasor and Bob Reilly write sports that please Mr Bulldog and he has entirely given up the care of his Hnances to Joe s Business Staff Janet Freed James Preston James Booth Tom Van Arsdel Bob Heckman and Herbert Duncan 15 O ' V1 1 7 -6 L ' ii J I X ' .
