Theus STUDENT SENATE The Senate is composed of five student body officers, the presidents of the four classes, a representative from the non-fraternity students, a representative from the non-sorority students, a representative from the interfraternity council, and one from the Pan-Hellenic Council. These students comprise the student governing group en the campus. It is their purpose to legislate certain measures which will be of interest to the students, represent the student body to the faculty and school authorities, and in general to make conditions more pleasant for the students. The Senate is not an all powerful organization and has definite limitations in its authority, but the influence of the Senate is often more im- portant than the actual power to create or de- stroy. With student funds the Senate has pro- vided two dances for the student body, one celebrating Homecoming, and the other for the Founder ' s Day picnic and holiday. The World Student Service Fund was sponsored by the Senate in connection with other campus or- ganizations.
