Interfrutemity competition has furnished many- pleasant highlights to the regular social and academic calendar. This year the football championship which was lost for the first time last year was returned to the Boys Across The Street. Kappa Alpha has consistently maintain- ed the highest scholastic average of all fraterni- ties on this campus for many years and this was no exception. It participated in the expansion of the order by conducting the initiation for the new chapter at Louisiana Tech. It is certainly proud to have had the opportunity of assisting in this growth, especially here in North Louisiana where it has been the only chapter for years. This past year has witnessed the formation of the K. A. Mothers Club, that tireless group who have worked hard to provide the house with furnishings and fixtures. Their contribution to the K. A. ' s position on the campus has been immeasurable, and for that we are grateful. The Kappa Alpha Alumni have been organized into ALPHA IOTA CHAPTER

It is justly proud of the many members who have won fame and acclaim in their sev- eral fields of endeavor both for themselves and for their fraternity. There are few, if any, phases of campus activity in which the K. A. ' s are not serving with distinction. This year the three male student body officers are the corresponding three top fraternity officers, two male cheer-lead- ers were K. A. ' s, four of eight men selected for membership in Who ' s Who Among Students in American Universities and Col- leges are K. A. ' s, the Centenary Gentle- man, Most Versatile Boy, Most Popular Boy, the President of the Freshman Class, and the President and Treasurer of the Senior Class are but a few to mention of the honors and offices held by members of this recognized fraternity.
