The Dormitory Council of Rotary Hall is a governing body com- posed of the executive officers and a representative from each class. The advisors are Mrs. A. R. Campbell, Dean of Women, and Mrs. W. S. Row, hostess of the dormitory. The council meets weekly to discuss any problems or business affairs arising which con- cern the occupants of the dormi- tory. Democratic in its representation and ideals, the organization pro- poses to promote good conduct, foctor the interests of its members and enforce dormitory rules. Along the social lice the dormitory girls entertain with two open houses yearly, one in the fall and one during the spring semester. The girls of Rotary Hall always wel- come the day students to their domicile, for there is always a bridge game or time to chat. The Dormitory Council, as the govern- ing body of the out-of-town girls, endeavors to uphold the ideals and traditions of Centenary Col- lege. SPANISH CLUB Officers Beverly Stovall President Barbara Thomas Vice-President Bette Brock Secretary -Treasurer Virginia Taylor Reporter As one of Centenary ' s foremost departmental organizations, the Spanish Club has drawn to a close another successful year. The club meets every month on the second Tuesday for the purpose of giving members an opportunity to speak the Spanish language. At the end of each year, an annual banquet is held at one of the Spanish res- taurants. Under the guidance of Mr. R. E. White, Miss Lenore Rees, and Miss Georgia Lou Flournoy, the club has again ended a profitable year. A national physics honor society, this organi- zation serves as a means of recog- nition for superior scholarship in physics, that would bring those particularly interested in this science into closer association and would encourage and stimulate them in their scientific work, and which would thereby bring about a greater cooperation between in- structor and student for the benefit of both.
