They Oil the Machinery Mr. Ron Holstein Mrs. Ida VanCamp In a school of our size, the principal can’t deal as intimately with the students as can the counselors, Mrs. Ida VanCamp and Mr. Ronald Holstein; they are always prepared to help students with their prob¬ lems or with questions concerning colleges, scholarships, and scholastic grants. So that our administration is not bogged down by details which must be attended to each day, it is assisted by the office staff, which consists of responsible students. The staff acts as the “long arm of the law,” often running all over the building to perform their various tasks. Row 1: Mrs. VanCamp, P. Adams, D. Wilson, B. Beckstedt, L. Slusser, B. Brandts, J. Sexton, Mrs. White, Mr. Holstein. Row 2: Mr. Brandon, D. Bath, E. Wenning, S. Frahm, J. Frahm, P. Piper, A. Nevergall. Row 3: J. Reist, K. Schweizer, J. Muther, D. Dumbauld, P. Fahncke, D. Luth, S. Mcllroy.

School Board Sitting: Mr. Russell Laffin, Dr. Louis J. Finkelmeier, President; Mr. Don M. Purdy. Standing: Mr. Wilson Warrick, Mr. Robert Harbage. Our school board, composed of men in whom the com¬ munity has demonstrated trust and confidence by electing them to their posts, is the main policy-making body in the school system. These men, all well respected in Celina, have capably handled the situations which have arisen during the past year. It is due to their competence that our schools are run so efficiently, for the school board is the channel through which all important business must pass. We owe a debt of gratitude to these fine people. Miss Erma Evans has been invaluable in her position as clerk of the school board. Her efficiency and her dedica¬ tion to her work has made her one of the school’s most highly respected assistants. Miss Erma Evans 8
