,,5i'f'61 BASKE TBALL BANQUE T A banquet was glven 1n honor of the basketball team and the cheerleaders by the grateful people of Cedaredge Followlng a del1c1ous dlnner there was entertalnment and presentatlons Radlo stat1on KDTA presented the team w1th the tape recordlngs of the State Tournament games Also a banner readlng Cedaredge State Runner Up Basketball Class B 1958! was glven the school from Vorbeck Sportmg Goods An autographed basketball was raffled off and won by Mrs Earle M1lls who later presented lt to the school to be placed 1n the trophy case Several short speeches were g1ven by townspeople and member of the team and the honored speaker of the evenlng was Mr Wayne Nelson basketball coach from Mesa Col lege He gave an excellent talk on sports and sportsmanshlp and showed some very ln terestlng movles 1- ii l1 'f .
