It’s the beginning of another. 4 It’s the chance for us to expand our lives 5 We look into the future; afraid of the obstacles ahead, but excited because we’re no longer children What we’ve worked for all our lives is finally becoming a reality. vt- 8 We’re filled with mixed emotions, not only about ourselves but all the people we’ve come to know. It has taken us a lifetime to get to where we are now. 10 It’s been hard; it’s been fun. And if I could relive my life, I’d do it all over again. CJH 11 Faculty and Administration We’re filled with such big hopes. We only want what’s best for those who are willing to learn. We don’t know all, but what we do know we want to share. We’ve been through it before, and our experiences are worth listening to. Perry 44 Cafeteria Staff Seniors Just yesterday, I walked through these doors. Excited, nervous, curious. Now I sit back and remember. With each stride, I progressed, Stepping further than ever expected. Learning from living, laughing, and loving, Reaching out to grasp and understand— Life transforming around and within me . . . I have grown, yet I am just a child in the eyes of the giant. Today I exit through these doors for the last time, All feelings of sadness overwhelmed by the prospects provided by the open door . . . Leaders to success The Senior Class Council was able to complete a successful year of activities due to the joint effort of its members. School spirit was boosted in the beginning of the year during the Almost Anything Goes Contest won by the seniors. Fund raisers such as the flea market and the car rallies bene¬ fited the seniors further. Such success was the result of coopera¬ tion, organization, and leader¬ ship learned through four years of working together. The efforts of Mrs. Gracie and Mr. Goodson, the class advisors, were greatly appreciated by the council. OFFICERS: Lori Brown (sec.), John Frey (v.p.), Mike Gosey (treas.), Rick Shangraw (pres.) And where was that second check point?—C,M,M, and the 62 Impala Half a tank of gas, $7.00, 4 hours—for what?—Christa % Do you think you’ll have room for five more? Seniors and juniors together at last In a small enclosure, the volume of a band is inversely proportional to their talent.—Steve Pardue I thought that it was one of the best bands that the Sr. High has had because we didn’t have to lis¬ ten to top 40 and Disco all night.—Patti Moss I loved the band! Even though we lost money it was still fun.— Cheryl Pfeiffer 99 II A Friend Died Today A friend died today, But not in my heart. In my heart he’s alive; Smiling, laughing, warm sunlight on his golden hair. It makes me wonder—this death. How long will he die? When will he live again? Will he? But STILL he is ALIVE, ’Cause nobody, not even he, Can kill a memory Of warmth, of love, and of friendship. Live on, my friend, For to me, you shall never be dead. With love to you, Mark, a friend. Attendance was minimal, but the per¬ formance was excellent. “Thoreau’s a fascinating paradox: A man who was—and is. A self-effacing giant. A wit who rarely laughed. A man who loved so deeply and completely that he seemed, sometimes, not to have loved at all.”—Jerome Laurence, Robert E. Lee. One of the more traumatic moments in the performance.
