Here, academic, general, and commercial students study the required courses of English and social studies. At first the hall seems to be serene, but as we pass the English rooms, we hear a teacher reading Poe's poem, The Bells, to his class. Glancing in the next door, we see students working on a bul- letin board, which, by a series of posters, explains the theories of Freud and Adler. In another room, the students are grouped around a model stage, discussing the production of a Shakespearean play. Approaching a window, we pause to get a view of the velvet campus. On the lower Field we can see the varsity baseball team practicing. The cur- riculum is the most important part of Catonsville, but the teams, the committees, the school paper- all of these add the glow that a school needs to be unified and spirited . . .
