At their regular monthly meeting in the school gymnasium the members
of the Mothers' Club listen to an address by Mr. J. Andrew Bahlinger.

The September meeting encouraged the new officers by
its good attendance. At this initial meeting of the scholastic
year the Mothers' Club welcomed its Spiritual Director, Mon-
signor H. P. Lohmann, and its new Moderator, Brother Allen.
At the October meeting the club was privileged to have as
guest speaker Mr. J. Andrew Bahlinger, whose topic was
"Teaching a Sense of Responsibility in the Home."
Although a school proiect, the barbecue held in the gym
October l3 to raise funds to defray the expenses of the new
band uniforms was under the supervision of a member of
the Mothers' Club, Mrs. R. R. Saia.
A cake bingo, with Mrs. Philip Eckert and Mrs. W. J.
Doran as co-chairmen, helped to swell the band uniforms fund,
November 7, l95l.
The guest speaker for the December meeting was Father
John Newfield.
Sponsored by the "C" Club, the Mothers' Club, under the
chairmanship of Mrs. C. D. Zimmerle and Mrs. A. J. Sceroler,
served the Football ban-quet in the gym, December ll.
Mrs. Harold M. Barnes served as chairman of the crib
unveiling ceremony, which was canceled because of inclement
weather. The Christmas pageant and concert and entertain-
ment were presented in the gym on the evening of the
planned unveiling, Wednesday, December l9.
Father John Naughton honored the club as its guest speaker
at the January meeting.

The Mothers' Club celebrated in gay fashion their twenty-
second birthday party, January 22, l952. A goodly crowd of
the games, entertainment,
mothers and the faculty enioyed
and lunch, which was followed by the cutting- of an immense
birthday cake.
Although the .thirteenth annual
proiect, the Mothers' Club offered
Mrs. W. R. Robinson was chairman of the Mothers' Club com-
mittee.
Mrs. G. G. Cook, Mrs. George McCarrolI, and Mrs. J. H.
Thornton gave audiometer tests to every student of Catholic
High.
The cafeteria committee under the supervision of Mrs. A.
J. Marchand served hot meals to the students every school
day at noon, as well as breakfast after Wednesday and
First Friday Masses. Mrs. Sarah Behrnes was chairman of the
breakfast committee.

The students and faculty of Catholic High appreciate the
indefatigable work and priceless assistance of the Catholic
High Mothers' Club. Our earnest prayer is that the Sacred
Heart of Jesus and His Immaculate Mother may shower
abundant blessings upon these loyal and devoted ladies and
all their loved ones.
