While waiting for the dismissal bell
to bring students through the door-
way, SISTER MARIE JOYCE, O.S.F.,
enioys a cool breath of air. Sister
maintains order in and out of school
as moderator of the Student Associa-
tion. Playing a more important role
as teacher, she imparts to students a
profound knowledge of their religion
and helps them to realize its role in
their lives. By supervising probation-
ers, she assists in moderating the .
"A little to the left," SISTER HELEN ST. PAUL, O.S.F.,
decides as she adiusts the spotlight for the desired
effects on stage. In addition to this, she also helps in
constructing scenery, in shifting lights, and in cueing
girls. Sister instructs juniors and seniors in chemistry
and physics. For the science-minded girls, she directs
the Albertus Magnus Science Club and among other
activities, ofters advice to iuniors in the planning of

onment, together with quantities of typing
paper, mimeograph stencils, and carbon paper,
is natural to her as a business education in-

. . Requisites for radio news reporting are
' explained by SISTER CORDA MARIE,
O.S.F., in her exposition on the importance
of condensation of words. Sister is well
experienced in the field of news-writing
since she moderates the Freshmen Writers
for aspiring beginners, teaches Journalism
to sophomore reporters, and advises the
Highway staff. She also assumes the post
of English teacher to juniors and seniors.

A French teacher painting? Mais ouil Besides
conversing in fluent French to interested stu-
dents, sisrere JANE FRANCES, o.s.F., also mod-
erates the Art Club and gives art lessons to
Catholic High girls. Aside from painting in the
classroom, Sister also guides girls who have
"more than usual" talent by helping them
with oil painting after school hours.
Another copy is iust a matter of seconds now
that the Documat, a new duplicating machine,
is in the office to make work easier for SlSTER
MARY STEPHEN, O.S.F. Being the School Reg-
istrar is complicated business since Sister must
keep files of the past and present orderly for
use at any moment. To keep the records of
all girls who have attended Catholic High dur-
ing the past twenty-tive years is quite a task
for anyone, yet Sister consistently does her
SISTER CLARE HELENE, O.S.F., hopes that
movie goers will make use of the Legion of
Decency list to guide them in choosing a film.
Besides her duties as moderator of this organi-
zation, Sister also prepares future secretaries
to take their places competently in today's
modern busines world.
SISTER M. JEAN CLARE, O.S.F., inspects a
crop of mold buds as she makes her daily
rounds of the biology lab. Sister shares her
knowledge of life's mysteries with sophomores
and instructs iuniors in the principles of chem-
istry. After school hours, Sister moderates the
Mendelian Biology Club for science-minded

Acting as hostess, SISTER MARIE FRANCIS, O.S.F., ex-
changes information with her guests from the Herring
Run Branch Library. The most important of her iobs as
school librarian, purchasing new reading material for
young minds, requires skill, ingenuity and an under-
standing of youth's needs. Sister also moderates the
Library Club so that girls interested in related subiects
may be well informed.
The potential beauty of drittwood is realized by SISTER
M. CHRISTOLINDA, O.S.F., even previous to the hours
of waxing and polishing necessary for unmasking it.
Through the past months Sister has shared her fascina-
tion for this form of art with her students. The same
recognition of the beautiful permeates the English
classes in which Sister teaches language and literature
to iuniors and seniors.

SISTER M. FRANCILINE, O.S.F., inter-
rupts the regimented tile of trophies
to inspect them. As moderator of the
Duns Scotus Forensic Society and the
Latin Club, Sister is well-acquainted
with success and awards. Religion
and Latin are the subiects which con-
stitute her daily teaching schedule.

Moderating the Athletic Association
involves many duties - one of which
is checking to see if there are enough
cold drinks to revive team members
after a heated game of basketball,
badminton, or softball. Sister also re-
creates mankind's past by teaching
World History, United States History,
and Problems of Democracy.
