Mornings and afternoons, they help Sister Lor- enzo in the library with the important task of tending to Catholic High's literary wants. Through her activity fee, each student of TCHS is entitled to make use of the well-equipped library on the first floor. This year, over 100 new books on fiction, biography, careers, and various subject fields were added. Periodical literature, secular and religious, serious and entertaining, varies the literary diet. SOMEWHAT TIMIDLY, in the loll, freshmen approach high school life. Here, frtthltt pot with big sistor seniors on Freshman Doy, October 15. In a skit, The Spirit of The CothoGc High School, Joan Kasai acquainted prospective Freshman Pot Kostos with the responsibilities and privi leges of the coming four years. MUCH MOM CONFIDENTLY, by December, do freshmen view the high school problem. Here, an octual freshman, Corolyn Dorsey, is choirman of o TCHS—Calvert Hall de- bate in which (l-r) debaters P. Hum, I. Williams, and A. Wilson hurled defeat at their visiters with a woman's strongest weapon. QUITE COOLLY, come the springtime, do the freshmen meet the public. On the feast of St. Joseph, the Apostles leogue stoged an assembly depicting graphically the meaning of the religious vacation. In a colorful production of music, verse speaking, and pontomine, freshmen cap- tured mojor parts.
