The Most Reverend Francis Patrick Keough, D.D.. holds the title of eleventh Archbishop of Baltimore, primal Catholic Sec of the United States. Combining religious duties with administrative work, the Archbishop is spiritual leader of the 300,000 Catholics in this archdiocese, which includes Baltimore projier and most of the counties of the state. Baltimore has been Archbishop Keough s home since his installation on February 24, 1948. The Stella Maris Hospice, a home for the aged, and a new orphanage for all. regardless of race, creed, or color, are charitable projects our Archbishop has lx-gun since coming here from Providence, R. D.D., is the zealous auxiliary bishop of Baltimore. Educated at St. Charles College. Catonsville, he was ordained December 23. 1922. and con- secrated December 12. 1945. The bishop who has been papal chamberlain, domestic prelate, and director of Catholic Charities officiates graciously at Catholic High Commencement Exercises. The guiding hand of the Reverend Leo J. McCormick. Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, keeps the Catholic school system running like a watch.
