Section 3l) The vivacious, friendly girls of 3D are in the race to win that coveted award—a diploma from the Catholic High School of Baltimore. They have begun by co-operating with teachers and taking an interest in sports, music and campaign drives. In sports, much enthusiasm was shown during the dodge hall tournament, when they became fresh- mun champions. Many play basketball, and hope to be fortunate enough to make the teams in future years. Two of our girls. Johanna Joska and Constance Jarzynski. are members of the Orchestra. Joan Chert. Doris Lamhdin and Patricia Kirby have been selected for the Glee Club. Patricia Kane and Jean Kec .merski have proven their ability in art. Section 4j) If position means anything in life, then 41) is “tops.” From their third floor front homeroom they can survey a large portion of Fast Baltimore and have resolved to stay on top, not only for their freshmen year, but all four at Catholic High. Forty-six strong, they boast of six honor students and a corps of representatives led by class rep.. Estelle Lind, who keeps them posted on all school activities and on their toes in developing school spirit. Representatives are as follows -Sodality: Vir- ginia Novotny; Elizabeth Mattheu; C.S.M.C.: Fdwina Macko, Marlene Oakley: A.A.: Marie Moser; Legion of Decency: Ruth Newheiser. Section J) Whether it be a Sophomore or Freshman art class filing into Room 29, they are all greeted by this section’s charming good fortune doll. “Wundy.” His green and gold garb and cheerful outlook make him most symbolic of the girls themselves, who can claim him as their mascot, and cheerfulness as their virtue. Besides being cheerful, these girls are most cooperative and enthusiastic. Their hard-working class representative, Mary Adams, is a true example of one upholding these standards. Other ID leaders arc: Klizubeth Amann, A.A.: Jacquelyn Brady and Catherine Corbin, Legion of Decency: Patricia Conklin and Anna Brand, C.S.M.C.; Eileen Schnie der and Evelyn Benson, Sodality. Therefore, since their achievements have been so promising in this, their freshman year, who knows what heights these girls will attain in their coming years at T.C.H.S.? Section 2 7) The history of 21) has something of the Five little Peppers ami How They Crew idea—we 45 were peppery—lively, of course, and we certain!) were in a stale of growth. September 7 saw us wonder-eyed, jubilant, timorous and thrilled with the prospect of our first year at T.C.H.S. We were then even tongue-tied. October saw us delighted with our leaders: Imo- gene- glamorous, pcppery-red-curled — Fromhart, representative; Charlotte Forwood and Dorothea Khsworth. Sodality; Pat Ford and Joan Fitzgerald. C.S.M.C.; and Rose Mary l)e Cosmo and Carolyn O’Donnell. Legion of Decency. November found us Review Campaigning in such u thwacking fashion that we bounced over the top rung with a leap! It just amounts to this: 2D loves T.C.H.S., and hopes to spend three more such breath-taking, hap- py years in the best school in the world.
