Section tB The portals of Room 13 open wide to reveal 49 friendly, hard working, energetic students of Catho- lic High. “Lux tua luceat” is the motto upheld by them in everything sponsored by the school. For. in almost every organization, members of Section IB may be found. It is well represented in the C.S.M.C. by Margaret M. Main and Lillian Hogan; in the Sodality by Mary E. Magrogan, Geraldine Quinn and Irene Bolewicki; in the Legion of Decency by Joan Mullaney. ami Loretta Evans. Activity is just as keen outside the classroom. Whether it be Glee Club. Chemistry Club, or athletics, the girls are there and ready to partici- pate. IB is proud of Class Representative Kathleen Dougherty, and A.A. Representative Irma Skinner. Section iC They’re us nice as they look—these alert, neat, genial, sophomores of 1C. Since it’s almost always true ‘the more people talk, the less they do.’ ” suffice it to say that 1C was always in the van no matter what Corporal Work of Mercy was being fostered by Catholic High. In the exercise of the Spiritual Works, their efforts were most eager, too. In both respects. 1C will claim no further laurels than those which Cod is pleased to bestow. The fact that God will likewise bestow abundant blessings on all at Catholic High, who have made the year a most pleasant one, helps to compensate for the seeming shallowness of our nonetheless sincere “Thank you” to the best faculty there is.

Section 2B Rolling along in all the activities of T.C.H.S. we find Section 2B. Although the girls are combined, that is. the Academic and Modern Classical Courses, they still manage to pull through. Their coopera- tion in the laiyeltc. Library, and Catholic Review drives sent them way over the 100% mark. Its members participate in many school organ- izations and events. Catherine Reed, who is the Michelangelo of 2R. painted the prize winning poster in this year’s St. Francis Contest. In athletics. Margaret Mary Kahn and Velma Kirby are members of the basketball teams, whereas the bowling team claims Rita Bauer and Mary Coco. Section 2B has a music department all its own. with Marlene Fredericks play ing the bass fiddle in the orchestra and Mary Gwen Kucmert. Anna Krause. Anna Riecohona. Jacquelyn Russel, and Joan Jacobuuski singing in the Glee Club. Section 2(J The girls of Section 2C combine study, fun. and sport and get a mixture worthwhile. They cooper- ate whole-heartedly with the various drives, and while they don’t always capture first place, they are not far behind. Brown-eyed Catherine Ward keeps them in step as Class Representative: Dolores Grossman and Kitty Lenz take care of the Sodalists. while Jewell Tucker and Marilyn Kser take up the cause for the Missions. Joan Norton and Thelma Broil represent 2C in the legion of Decency, and Peggy Heinle keeps them informed of A.A. doings. May their enthusiasm and school spirit not dim. but carry them happily through their remaining years at T.C.H.S., and in their social and business lives, both in and out of Catholic High, may they always “Let their light shine.'
