Everything from booties to lovely little bon- cts were collected by Catholic High Sodal- ists at Christmas time for under-privileged babies. In these pictures J. Dunkerly, S. Dente, left, and C. Sniadowski, above, take- time after school to arrange the displays attractively around the crib. Reading a Catholic article a day, helps keep the devil and his evils away,” is the motto of the Sodality during its campaign to col- lect Catholic magazines for shut-ins. The four officers who are proud of the zealous work of their sister sodalists are; J. Karl, treasurer; H. Grogan, secretary; R. Stone, vice-president; J. Miller, president. Worthwhile projects, such as collecting clothing for the poor and aged, along with prayers and devotions to our Blessed Lady, make up the year's calendar of the Sodality. Leading the seniors in this work are G. Zawodny, P. McGrail, C. Tarcsco, T. Wein- inger, H. Razulis, E. Karcz, seated, V. Groncki, M. L. Krcafle, standing, Insets— Dolores Tongiani and D. Kendryna. 0ujt rLady's activities fiate a tiqh 24

To our school patron, St. Francis of Assisi, we owe the origin of the beautiful custom, the Christmas Crib. This devotional custom is re-enacted every year by Catholic High students, and J. Gravatt, Section 5C repre- sents the student body in this picture before the Crib. She offers on their behalf, a prayer of love and devotion to the Blessed Infant on His one thousand, nine-hundredth and forty-sixth birthday. Indissolubility means what?” Mr. Webster is at such times in our religion classes a friend in need, so say left to right—E. Pacifici, P. Snee, M. Lorden and D.
